My desire to help others achieve equity and freedom stems from my own challenging childhood experiences in children’s homes and foster care. I have an established record of mentoring others to their full potential from teenagers to octogenerians.

I know what it’s like to need a helping hand from someone that believes in you. I am the product of teachers, youth leaders, church leaders, bosses, mentors and coaches. It’s why I’m so passionate about what I do.

about me:

I’m an accidental entrepreneur, but three businesses later it’s now who I am. I spent a decade teaching PE and as a Head of Year 9 in secondary schools in the UK and abroad. Having just secured my dream job at a new school, hearing a talk about modern-day slavery, turned my world upside down overnight.

Trafficking and injustice are things I still hold dear today and reflects in all of my businesses. From Just Helpers my ethical cleaning company making sure that the team gets paid above the London Living Wage, to Justly my tech platform for the cleaning industry which will measure the impact of fair pay and optimised routes on the bottom line of the businesses who use it, to Entreplaneurs a community that supports and champions women in business.

When I started Just Helpers, it was just ten hours a week, fitting it in alongside two other jobs. I had to turn work away as the referrals flooded in because we went over and above for our clients. Now, nearly 10 years later, we have a team of over 40 working with a turnover of over £1 million.

I love running businesses, but my passion will always be watching and helping individuals to thrive. My end game will be to establish a grant making and mentoring foundation for aspirational young adults exiting the care system as a way of giving back helping them to take control of their life story.
